85,- Assignment description As a full-stack DevSecOps engineer at the AI Safety & Security Lab, you will play a crucial role in shaping national and European oversight of complex AI within the RDI. You are in the unique position to investigate the safety and security risks of generative AI, provide policy advice, and contribute to the societal responsibility of the RDI in its role as supervisor of digital infrastructure and AI. Within the lab, you are responsible for:

• Setting up and configuring a test environment to evaluate generative AI models based on cybersecurity benchmarks.
• Developing a working method based on coding standards and workflow automation for reproducible, reliable, and maintainable infrastructure-as-code.
• Knowledge transfer to junior researchers and engineers. Technical and research support to colleagues in the Lab.
• Staying up-to-date with the latest scientific developments in cybersecurity and AI. Assignment background Within the RDI, we are responsible for a safely connected Netherlands, where AI plays an increasingly important role in numerous subjects. Recently, the AI Safety & Security Lab was started within the RDI. With your assignment, you facilitate an environment that enables the team working on this to explore the boundaries of generative AI and contribute to a research environment that is not only innovative but also safe and reliable. • People and Resources Requirements WO Master's degree in computer science or a comparable technical/exact domain Minimum 5 years of demonstrable experience as a DevSecOps engineer Demonstrable experience with compiled and scripting programming languages Demonstrable experience with reproducible applied research with the ability to quickly master and apply new, state-of-the-art technologies Desired Knowledge of high-performance computing and GPU computing Knowledge of large language models and associated software stacks such as PyTorch, Huggingface, vLLM Demonstrable experience with AI Safety and Security Demonstrable experience with Cybersecurity Demonstrable experience with knowledge transfer within a team Competencies Excellent communication skills for working with both technical and non-technical teams Technical problem-solving ability Organizational sensitivity Persuasiveness Additional information An offered CV must contain the full name and address, date of birth, telephone number, and email address of the candidate.
