Analytics Engineer – Microsoft Fabric / Power BI / Snowflake – Lyon

Project overview

To support a major Data transformation program, we are looking for 2 freelance Analytics Engineers based in Lyon or its metropolitan area.

Our client, a major player in the retail sector with a network of nearly 900 points of sale, is currently modernizing its Data & Analytics ecosystem.

Within a structured Data organization, you will participate in several strategic projects:

Management

• Migration of historical environments to Microsoft Fabric.
• Modernization of reporting with Power BI.
• Development of a multi-cloud Data architecture integrating Snowflake, GCP, and Databricks.
• Industrialization of data ingestion and transformation flows (ELT).
• Development of self-service BI and uses around AI and Copilot.
• Gather, challenge, and formalize business needs.
• Write functional and technical specifications.
• Estimate workloads and participate in project prioritization.
• Design and develop ingestion and transformation pipelines in Microsoft Fabric.
• Model data and ensure its availability in Snowflake.
• Build, optimize, and ensure the reliability of Power BI models.
• Guarantee the quality and operability of deliverables.
• Train users and business referents (Data Champions).
• Document developments and their operation.
• Support teams towards greater autonomy on Data tools.
• Manage your scope autonomously.
• Monitor tasks, workloads, and deliverables in Jira.
• Respect quality, budget, and deadline commitments.
• Collaborate with the various Data and business teams.
