What You'll Be Working On:

What We're Looking For

Android Engineering Depth

Deep Kotlin expertise coroutines, Flow, structured concurrency

Jetpack Compose production experience state management, recompositing performance, and interop with legacy Views

Strong grasp of Android architecture components: View Model, Navigation, Room, Work Manager, Datastore

Performance and Quality

Experience profiling and optimizing cold start, frame rendering, and memory

Automated testing discipline: JUnit, Espresso, Compose UI tests, screenshot/regression testing

Familiarity with performance tooling: Android Studio Profiler, Perfetto, Baseline Profiles, Macrobenchmark

Backend and Integration Fluency

Experience with networking stacks (Retrofit/OkHttp), serialization, and API contract design

Offline-first patterns, caching, and local persistence

Secure storage, auth/token handling, and mobile security fundamentals

Delivery and Infrastructure

CI/CD for mobile: GitHub Actions, Bitrise, Gradle build optimization

Staged rollouts, feature flags, and Play Store release management

Crash/ANR monitoring and an operational mindset you look at dashboards, you set alerts, you write runbooks

• Participating in design and architecture reviews; your decisions affect other feature teams downstream
• Debugging the hard things: lifecycle edge cases, memory leaks, threading/concurrency bugs, and device fragmentation issues
