For one of my clients in the energy sector, I am looking for an Application Architect for the QA Factory.

Context:

Expert in transversal application architecture who assists the QA organization in understanding & validating complex end-to-end application flows across online shops, APIs, microservices, ERP and backend systems.

This position allows QA engineers and automation engineers to design relevant test coverage by providing the required expertise in architecture, integration, and data.

• Analyze and document application flows, interfaces, and dependencies across online shops, APIs, microservices, ERP, and backend systems.
• Support QA engineers and automation engineers in defining appropriate end-to-end test coverage across integrated systems.
• Identify test data sets and data combinations needed to validate critical business journeys and integration scenarios.
• Explain API behavior, interfaces, contracts, dependencies, and data flows to QA teams and support the definition of relevant API and integration tests.
• Identify integration risks, technical dependencies, and potential coverage gaps across the entire application landscape.
• Support the definition of mocking, stubbing, or service virtualization approaches where dependent systems are unavailable or difficult to test.
• Contribute to the investigation and analysis of complex inter-system defects.
• Understand performance principles, response time analysis, and identification of application bottlenecks.
• Work with Development, Architecture, DevOps, and Product teams to facilitate the resolution of QA issues related to architecture or integration.
• Solid understanding of distributed application architectures, e-commerce architectures, and system integration patterns.
• Strong knowledge of APIs, REST services, microservices, and system-to-system integrations.
• Understanding of ERP integration patterns and associated data flows.
• Data modeling, databases, and SQL.
• API contracts, payloads, authentication, and interface dependencies.
• Log tools, traces, monitoring, and observability for inter-system troubleshooting.
• CI/CD, test automation architecture, and service virtualization concepts.
• End-to-end application flow analysis.
• Translation of application architecture into QA scenarios and coverage requirements.
• Test data strategy and definition.
• Integration risk analysis.
• Problem-solving and root cause analysis.
• Close collaboration with QA engineers, automation engineers, product QA managers, developers, DevOps, and application architects.
