Project overview

The Directorate Organization, Business Operations and Personnel (OBP) is ultimately responsible for the delivery of business operations services to the core department and to a number of non-core services of VWS. The functional management of business applications within OBP/Information Provision is assigned to the I-team. The management and further development of the ECM application Marjolein are assigned to a DevOps team managed by SSC-ICT, a shared service organization under the Ministry of the Interior and Kingdom Relations. VWS provides staffing for the Marjolein DevOps team at SSC-ICT.

Project

The VWS FileNet environment is based on IBM FileNet, Content Navigator, Case Manager, and BAW, among others. For development, work is carried out within the standards applicable to the national government for software security, privacy protection, and accessibility for visually impaired employees ('accessibility'). User-friendliness, performance, and access via mobile devices ('responsive web design') must meet current market standards.

To make management and maintenance as simple as possible, efforts are made to apply as much functionality as possible from the generic ECM application and to limit application-specific functionality to a minimum.

Testers are deployed to perform regression tests in the various environments. This is supplemented by manual testing of new and existing functionalities. Expanding automated testing is also part of the activities.

Assignment Description

The assignment concerns the testing of changes to the VWS ECM system. This includes both the document management part and the testing of workflows. The application is based on FileNet technology. Testing takes place partly automated and partly manually, using tools such as Tosca and Robot Framework, among others. The tester is part of a DevOps team, attends scrum meetings, and provides input for the product backlog, sprint planning, reviews, etc. Collaboration and collegial sparring play a crucial role in this.

For the activities described here, VWS is looking for an experienced candidate with good, recent knowledge of Tosca and Robot Framework. Knowledge of the Python programming language is a plus. Good communication skills are essential.

Wishes

1 Degree to which the candidate has experience working in an Agile/DevOps environment, particularly knowledge and experience with Agile Scrum.

2 Degree to which the candidate has experience with and/or knowledge of Tosca and/or Robot Framework and/or Python code.

3 Degree to which the candidate possesses the required competencies and skills (verifiable in CV, motivation, and/or possible interview).

4 Degree of experience and/or affinity with the client's organization.
