Jobbeschreibung
We are looking for a technical business analyst to join the Cyber Innovation Hub. The role involves translating complex technological challenges into practical innovations by analyzing operational processes, understanding user needs, and bridging the gap between technology and operations.
Project overview
Assignment Description
The activities will be carried out within the Cyber Innovation Hub and are part of the Planning Directorate of Defence within the General Staff. The cyber domain is increasingly important for Defence. The importance and dependence on cyber and cyber innovation are growing for Defence in all parts of the organization. To become a future-proof, adaptive, and agile military force that operates based on information and collaborates and acts securely in cyberspace, a transformation is necessary. Globally, market parties invest many times more in digital innovations and solutions than Defence or the government could.
Therefore, it is essential for Defence to establish structural and sustainable cooperation with market parties to stay ahead and continuously test, validate, and implement the latest market solutions for its own business needs. The Cyber Innovation Hub enables Defence to respond adequately to the latest digital and cyber developments and innovations, as the hub serves as Defence's gateway and window to the market in the cyber domain and functions as the cyber transformation engine for Defence.
The hub proactively looks at the latest relevant concepts, insights, technological developments, and innovations from market parties and partners. The hub makes these demonstrably applicable for Defence through short-cycle and iterative innovation projects. Conversely, the hub helps market successful demonstrators and propositions from Defence for its own use. Multi-Domain Operations and Information-Driven Operations are the strategic principles for the hub. The hub focuses on defensive cyber, offensive cyber, law enforcement, and intelligence, thus covering the different digital/cyber roles within Defence.
For this, five cyber innovation program lines have been defined. The hub also proactively contributes as a sparring partner and advisor to policy development on the aspects of Information-Driven Operations. To gain a good understanding of future global developments and trends in the cyber-military domain, the team conducts cyber foresight studies and horizon scans. With this, the hub builds a unique information and knowledge position for the defence components with partners and market parties.
The hub consists of the department head, strategist, program manager, partnership manager, project managers, business architect, solution architect, scout, community manager, liaisons, analysts, and strategic and cyber advisors. The team is compact and diverse, with a healthy mix of military personnel and civilians. The team possesses broad expertise, both in cyber and in building ecosystems, program management, innovation management, community building, organizational development, and coaching. The deployment consists of permanent employees, reservists, and externally hired advisors.
