For our end client Enexis, Harvey Nash is looking for a Coach Project Safety / Project Safety Expert Limburg/Maastricht/Venlo SF16618

Position scale: Scale 14.

Target rate (all-in, including travel and parking costs and any overnight stays, excluding VAT): 79.57.

Date of intake interview at Enexis online or on-site: 1st interview will take place via Teams: Each interview lasts 45 min with 15 min. debriefing.

2nd interview will take place at a branch, possibly followed by a 3rd interview or workplace visit.

Coach Project Safety

Safety is your number 1 priority!

You want to contribute to a safe energy transition.

You coach and advise project colleagues to collectively raise safety to a higher level.

You want to transfer your project safety expertise to colleagues working in the V&G process (engineers, supervisors).

This is how you will tackle this challenge

In the past 2 years, Enexis has invested in knowledge about the V&G process through targeted training and group sessions. We notice that employees are consciously incompetent in this area. They know what to do, but approaching work from a safety perspective requires a different way of looking at things.

Therefore, we are looking for a strong coach with project safety experience who can use their practical experience to guide the engineer (V&G coordinator design phase) and the supervisor (V&G coordinator execution phase) in project-related risks and how to incorporate them into the V&G plan, which is the basis for safe execution of work by their own teams and contractors.

This means you will not take on this role yourself, but help (coach) others to fulfill their role in the V&G process.

Additionally, the Project Safety Coach helps the supervisor to take on their management role without taking on responsibilities that do not belong to them.

You will be present at the office to support engineers individually and in groups in such a way that after 0.5 years they are independently capable of delivering a high-quality V&G plan. Last year, a baseline measurement was conducted, providing insight into areas needing improvement, which forms the basis for the action plan you will execute.

You will actively involve managers in the progress and help them take responsibility where necessary.

Responsibilities

In the design phase, you coach the V&G coordinator to identify the correct project-related risks and to develop a thorough V&G plan.

In the execution phase, you coach the supervisor in their role as site manager.

You are a knowledge carrier in the field of V&G legislation (Working Conditions Decree, Construction Process department) and Enexis procedures and provide support for ambiguities in these areas.

You are flexible and present. Meetings are physical, and you ensure you are visible on the work floor.

You ensure that stakeholders (managers) are informed of the progress and guarantee that they can continue the process after this project.

This is how you approach it

You are a strong coach with excellent communication skills. You know how to motivate people and get them moving on safety and health. Furthermore, you are aware of the latest developments in legislation and regulations within the Construction Process and can apply this practically in the field (preferably in public spaces).

Furthermore, you bring:

A completed MVK (Middle Management Safety) education.

Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant work experience in a similar role.

Experience working in a technical environment is a plus.

Strong coaching skills and experience with different educational levels.
