Assignment Overview

We are looking for an experienced Fullstack Developer to join a newly formed development team building a completely new network information system from scratch, fully in-house. The system will model the client's entire telecommunications network, including its devices and equipment premises.

The team is part of a larger programme of eight independent network automation teams. The teams work closely together, each developing automation for different parts of the network.

The role calls for very strong general programming experience, especially in Go, along with solid experience in microservices and event-driven architectures (Kafka/WarpStream) and in building cloud-native services on Google Cloud Platform. Database skills are also important, because the team is introducing Google Spanner. The new service relies heavily on location data, so experience with geospatial data and GIS is a big plus.

You should also be a strong user of AI coding tools (GitHub Copilot), keen to keep learning in this area and happy to share that knowledge with the team. You are proactive, self-driven and quick to pick up new things, since there is a lot to learn in the network domain. Because the team is new, being able and willing to help set it up is a plus.

Required Experience

• Strong hands-on development experience with Go (Golang)
• Experience with microservices architecture
• Effective use of AI-assisted development tools, especially GitHub Copilot
• Service development in public cloud environments, especially Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Solid database skills
• Experience developing software that uses geospatial data / GIS
• Kubernetes
• TypeScript and React
• Eligible for a Finnish Security Intelligence Service (SUPO) basic security clearance, which requires about 5 years of residence in Finland
