Cybersecurity System Integrator Engineer

Project overview

Context

Following a discussion with the client, we are looking for a System Integrator to ensure the compliance of the Video Information System (SI) for a major public transport company.

The Video SI is already in production. The project aims to evolve its various sub-systems to meet regulatory obligations and cybersecurity requirements.

Development and deployments will be staggered over approximately 2.5 years, with a compliance target by the end of 2029. The consultant will need to guarantee the technical and functional consistency of the whole, while ensuring service continuity and coexistence of migrated and not-yet-migrated components.

Preferred Profile

A former technical cybersecurity engineer or architect who has evolved into a transverse role as a system integrator, system engineer, or architect, with practical experience in platforms, testing, and migrations.

Knowledge of Video SI, VMS such as Milestone, and IP video streams is an asset.

The client will pay particular attention to rigor, proactivity, technical mastery, and the ability to unite experts from different fields. Clear communication, good synthesis skills, and presentation ease are essential.

Profiles exclusively focused on governance or cyber audit, as well as architects without operational integration practice, are unlikely to be a good fit.

Working Conditions

• Maintain a global vision of the system, application, and technical architecture.
• Translate regulatory and cybersecurity obligations into applicable requirements for the different components of the Video SI.
• Ensure traceability between requirements, interfaces, configurations, tests, and compliance proofs.
• Define and manage the integration and IVVQ strategy within a V-cycle logic.
• Organize increments and testing campaigns, taking into account asynchronous developments and deliveries.
• Master progressive migrations, dual runs, and mixed configurations.
• Manage interfaces and flows between applications, back-end services, and external consuming systems.
• Coordinate technical investigations, root cause analyses, and patch validation.
• Lead the technical team, present complex diagrams, and simplify issues for various stakeholders.
• System engineering and integration for complex, critical, and production SI.
• System and application architecture, requirements and interface management.
• Construction and management of integration, verification, validation, and qualification strategies.
• Solid technical cybersecurity mastery: IAM, authentication, identity federation, certificates, PKI, and flow encryption.
• Understanding of application architectures, back-end services, and inter-application exchanges.
• Good knowledge of infrastructure: hosting, datacenters, virtualization, storage, networks, and telecommunications.
• Experience with progressive migrations and coexistence of multiple versions in production.
