Key Responsibilities

• Lead the architecture, design and implementation of enterprise data platforms across AWS and Azure cloud environments.
• Define data architecture principles, standards, governance frameworks and best practices for cloud-native data solutions.
• Design and develop scalable data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes and Real Time data integration solutions.
• Provide technical leadership and hands-on engineering support across the full data life cycle including ingestion, transformation, storage and analytics.
• Architect data lake, data warehouse and lakehouse solutions supporting large-scale operational and analytical workloads.
• Work closely with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions.
• Lead data modelling activities including conceptual, logical and physical data models.
• Design integration patterns between cloud services, enterprise applications, APIs and third-party systems.
• Implement data security, compliance, governance and monitoring frameworks in accordance with government standards.
• Support migration of on-premise data platforms to AWS and Azure cloud services.
• Drive DevOps and DataOps practices including CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code and automated deployment strategies.
• Provide technical assurance, code reviews and mentoring to engineering teams.
• Collaborate with enterprise architecture teams to align data strategies with wider digital transformation objectives.
