Job Title: Data Architect/Lead Engineer

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the architecture, design and implementation of enterprise data platforms across AWS and Azure cloud environments.
- Define data architecture principles, standards, governance frameworks and best practices for cloud-native data solutions.
- Design and develop scalable data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes and Real Time data integration solutions.
- Provide technical leadership and hands-on engineering support across the full data life cycle including ingestion, transformation, storage and analytics.
- Architect data lake, data warehouse and lakehouse solutions supporting large-scale operational and analytical workloads.
- Work closely with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions.
- Lead data modelling activities including conceptual, logical and physical data models.
- Design integration patterns between cloud services, enterprise applications, APIs and third-party systems.
- Implement data security, compliance, governance and monitoring frameworks in accordance with government standards.
- Support migration of on-premise data platforms to AWS and Azure cloud services.
- Drive DevOps and DataOps practices including CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code and automated deployment strategies.
- Provide technical assurance, code reviews and mentoring to engineering teams.
- Collaborate with enterprise architecture teams to align data strategies with wider digital transformation objectives.
