Morris Sinclair is recruiting experienced SC Cleared Data Cabling Engineers to support an initial infrastructure project based in Reading.

This is an excellent opportunity to work with a client that delivers structured cabling and network infrastructure projects across the UK, Europe and Malaysia.

While the first assignment is based in Reading, engineers who perform well may be offered opportunities to work on future deployments both nationally and internationally.

The Role

You'll be responsible for delivering high-quality structured cabling installations across commercial and secure environments, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently and to industry standards.

The initial project requires active SC Clearance due to the nature of the site.

If you're an experienced SC Cleared Data Cabling Engineer looking for your next project with the potential for ongoing work across the UK and internationally, we'd love to hear from you.

• Current Active SC Clearance
• Own vehicle suitable for transporting tools and equipment
• Own professional data cabling, fibre & splicing toolkit
• Full UK Driving Licence
• Ability to travel as projects require
• Right to work in the UK
• Cat5e, Cat6 and Cat6a installations
• Structured cabling standards (BS EN 50173/ISO IEC 11801)
• Cable management systems and containment
• Testing and certification using Fluke or equivalent equipment
• Reading and interpreting technical drawings and installation specifications
• Diagnosing and resolving installation issues
• Delivering high-quality installations within project timescales
• CSCS Card or equivalent
• Ideally certified and capable of working at heights
• Physically able to lift equipment and work within confined spaces
• Strong commitment to health and safety procedures
• Excellent timekeeping
• Strong communication skills
• Professional customer-facing approach
• Ability to work independently and as part of a wider project team
