Project overview

Context

The management of a major public audiovisual group was created with the desire to make Data a lever for the growth of digital offerings. The Digital Department has strong challenges in developing digital uses.

The Data Department has 3 main services: maximizing data collection while respecting current regulations, developing user knowledge and experience, and providing internal teams with steering and decision-making tools.

In a desire to improve the added value derived from our data, we are implementing a data catalog with the contribution of several stakeholders. In this context, we wish to strengthen our teams with a Data Catalog Product Owner service that will orchestrate the implementation of our future data catalog.

The expected service will consist of participating in the management and evolution of our data catalog. The service provider will ensure that the catalog is a valuable, useful, and easy-to-use resource for the entire organization, facilitating access to and understanding of available data.

• Data Catalog Management:
• Develop and maintain the data catalog, including classification, annotation, and documentation of datasets.
• Ensure the quality and consistency of metadata.
• Continuous Improvement:
• Collect and analyze user feedback to continuously improve the catalog.
• Build, prioritize, and manage the implementation of the list of requirements and features (Backlog), in close collaboration with the Data Manager and all stakeholders.
• Implement new and improved features in collaboration with Data Stewards.
• Data Governance:
• Define and implement policies and procedures for data management.
• Ensure data compliance with current regulations, in coordination with the PO Privacy.
• Training and Support:
• Organize user training on best practices for using the data catalog.
• Provide ongoing support to users to ensure optimal use of the catalog.
• Collaboration and Adoption:
• Work closely with all stakeholders (Data Owners, Data Stewards, Data Manager, Data scientists, Data analysts, etc.) to ensure the catalog meets the needs of all users.
• Actively contribute to the adoption of the Data Catalog by all departments.
• Lead and measure this adoption through metrics jointly established with the Data Governance team.
• Mastery of at least one Data catalog solution.
• Very good understanding of Data and Big data environments.
• Knowledge of metamodel design and implementation.
• Understanding of standards and practices for collecting, storing, and using metadata.
• Understanding of API principles and operation for interfacing the Data Catalog with other systems in the audiovisual group's environment.
• Knowledge of the COLLIBRA solution would be a plus.
• Knowledge of Data Governance fundamentals (Data Catalog, Quality, Policies, Process, etc.).
• Good knowledge of marketing indicators.
• Good knowledge of regulations (GDPR, CNIL).
• Knowledge of the Digital and Media domain (ISP, Aggregator, Distributor, SEO/SEA, ...) would be a plus.
