Data Scientist Finance – Management Control

Project overview

Our client is looking for a Data Scientist Finance – Management Control (M/F) as part of a freelance mission.

Within a financial institution specializing in factoring, leasing, and real estate financing, the mission is part of the transformation of Finance, Accounting, and Management Control processes.

The objective is to mobilize a dual expertise in Data Science (Python) and Management Control in order to make financial data reliable, automate processes, and develop performance management tools.

Deliverables

• Automate and secure processes related to the monthly closing.
• Design and industrialize pre-calculated financial indicators.
• Build and validate Finance datamarts in a Data Lake environment.
• Analyze and explain variances between actuals, budget, forecast, and N-1.
• Perform reconciliations between accounting and management and analyze suspense accounts.
• Develop a steering and reporting tool under Qlik Sense.
• Produce explanatory and predictive analyses to improve financial steering.
• Document the processes and solutions developed.
• Finance datamarts usable for analysis.
• Pre-calculated financial indicators.
• Steering tool under Qlik Sense.
• Documentation of processes and solutions developed.
