Job Description

We are looking for an economics student who wants to work part-time in General Ledger Accounting alongside their studies.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work practically with accounting in a global finance team and support the work with monthly and quarterly closings. You will work with reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, financial analysis, and documentation, as well as contribute to developing more efficient ways of working using data, AI, and automation.

The position comprises approximately 16 hours per week and is designed to be combined with studies.

You are structured, responsible, and have an easy time planning your work. You are curious, want to learn new things, and see opportunities to simplify or improve repetitive tasks. You work meticulously and independently but also enjoy collaborating and sharing ideas with others.

• You are studying accounting, finance, economics, or a related field.
• You have basic accounting knowledge, for example, in debit and credit, balance sheets, and income statements.
• You have an understanding of financial accounting and General Ledger processes.
• You are interested in data, AI, and automation.
• You are meticulous, curious, and enjoy understanding and analyzing financial relationships.
• You communicate clearly and are comfortable asking questions and working independently.
• You can work approximately 16 hours per week, with some flexibility around month-end closings.
• Previous experience in accounting or Accounts Payable.
• Experience from audit or consulting firms.
• Experience with SQL.
• Experience with BigQuery.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Experience with AI tools.
• Experience with ERP systems.
• Experience from an international or global organization.
