Electrical Engineer Drinking Water Installations (contract)

Project overview

As an Electrical Engineer, you will contribute to projects within drinking water production, transport, and distribution.

Profile of the suited interim professional:

• Designing and specifying electrical installations for drinking water production, pump stations, and water treatment
• Preparing technical requirements, specifications, and design documents
• Developing low, medium, and high-voltage connections, transformer stations, and switchgear
• Coordinating projects for renovation, expansion, and new construction
• Reviewing designs submitted by contractors and engineering firms
• Performing technical risk assessments and troubleshooting
• Overseeing quality, safety, planning, and technical standards
• Liaising with specialists in process, mechanical engineering, and automation
• Providing advice to project managers and asset managers regarding investments and maintenance
• Contributing to capacity expansion, sustainability, and electrification of the drinking water infrastructure
• Guiding contractors during realization, testing, commissioning, and handover
• Analyzing complex issues and advising on solution directions
• Acting as lead engineer in relevant situations
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Technology, or equivalent
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in industrial installations, energy infrastructure, or the water sector
• Proven knowledge of low, medium, and high-voltage installations
• Familiarity with design standards, grid connections, and power distribution
• Knowledge of NEN 1010, NEN 3140, and relevant safety guidelines
• Knowledge of or affinity with industrial automation and process control
• Experience with renovation projects in operational environments with a focus on safety and continuity
• Experience with engineering software such as EPLAN or AutoCAD
• Strong analytical skills and a pragmatic approach
• Affinity with PLC automation
• Experience in multidisciplinary project teams
• Good command of the Dutch language
