Experienced Quality Engineer (QE)

Project overview

We are looking for a pragmatic, rigorous, and methodical Quality Engineer (QE), capable of working in a team and contributing to the quality of products, applications, and processes throughout their lifecycle.

Curious, with good analytical skills and a real ability to communicate with various stakeholders, he or she will be able to identify risks, prevent defects early, and contribute to the continuous improvement of quality practices.

Responsibilities

Analyze functional and technical requirements to identify risks and quality requirements;

Define the test strategy and plans based on appropriate design methods;

Design, write, and maintain test cases and scenarios;

Prepare the data and environments necessary for test execution;

Execute manual and automated test campaigns;

Test functionalities, processes, and interfaces, particularly at the Front and API levels;

Analyze test results and qualify observed discrepancies;

Write, document, and track anomalies until their resolution;

Communicate effectively with developers and the various teams concerned;

Verify fixes and prevent regressions;

Ensure traceability of requirements, tests, results, and anomalies;

Contribute to the industrialization and continuous improvement of the quality approach;

Ensure compliance with standards, best practices, and defined acceptance criteria.

The QE will thus play a key role in securing production deployments and improving the overall quality of solutions and processes.

Required skill set:

Mastery of test design and execution methods;

Knowledge of risk management and impact analysis;

Writing and maintaining manual tests with Jira / Xray;

Preparation and execution of test campaigns;

Writing, qualifying, and tracking anomalies;

Development and maintenance of automated Front and API test scenarios with Cypress and Postman;

Creation and maintenance of test data preparation and cleanup scripts;

Use of SQL for data control and validation;

Use of GitHub for versioning, archiving, and ensuring code traceability;

Maintenance and execution of GitHub Actions workflows to automate preparation, testing, and validation steps;

Monitoring of executions, analysis of results, and identification of workflow failure causes;

Ability to structure and industrialize test management;

Ability to work in a team and communicate with various stakeholders;

Ability to manage multiple subjects in parallel and adapt to an evolving environment;

Ability to work in English.

Technical environment:

Tools: Visual Studio Code, GitHub, Jira, Xray, Postman, Cypress, SQL Server;

Languages and technologies: JavaScript, YAML, Bash, SQL.

Profile sought:

We are looking for an experienced, autonomous profile capable of adapting to an existing and evolving environment.

The candidate will need to be able to take charge of quality activities end-to-end, from requirements analysis and test strategy definition to fix validation and regression monitoring.

Good analytical skills, rigor, organizational skills, and good interpersonal skills are essential to succeed in this mission.

Remote work is possible up to 3 days per week and will need to be decided with the client based on the company's needs and the context.

Within the Quality Engineering team, the Quality Engineer contributes to ensuring the quality, reliability, and compliance of products, applications, and processes.

He/she is involved throughout the development and production deployment cycle, from requirements analysis to monitoring anomalies and validating fixes.
