Financial Advisor

Project overview

As a financial advisor, you will support team leaders, budget holders, and policy officers with financial issues within the Municipality of Best.

Profile of the suited interim professional:

• Advising on budgets, forecasts, and financial deviations and adjusting them
• Preparing and updating budgets and multi-year estimates and translating policy plans into financial consequences
• Identifying and assessing financial risks and opportunities, resulting in practical advice and scenarios
• Providing substantive input to the Planning & Control cycle, including the budget, interim reports, and annual accounts
• Understanding financial data and management information and optimizing reports
• Consulting with team leaders, budget holders, and colleagues, both within and outside the financial field
• Contributing to merger-related activities such as harmonizing working methods and integrating financial processes of Best and Oirschot
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a financial advisor and/or financial controller within a municipal environment
• Extensive knowledge of and experience with budgeting, forecasts, financial analyses, and the Planning & Control cycle
• Ability to translate financial information into clear management information and concrete advice
• Proactive and solution-oriented work attitude
• Strong communication and advisory skills
• Independent and structured working method with an eye for collaboration
