Description of the assignment/assistance

The iFront project aims to establish the necessary common ICT infrastructure in Helse Nord to enable and support current and future needs in the hospital trusts and information security measures. In the implementation phase, the project will address identified challenges related to the underlying infrastructure. The tasks are mainly related to local and regional network infrastructure.

One of the main deliverables for the project is the improvement of identified deficiencies in the mapped network infrastructure, i.e., coordination and execution of replacement of network equipment such as switches, routers, etc. As part of this delivery, Helse Nord will use Cisco Catalyst Centre as a key component. Cisco Catalyst Centre itself is established and operational, but profiles, routines, and processes around it still need further development, including standardization and automation.

Until now, the role has been performed by hired consultants. It is still considered a need to maintain this work. Assigned consultants must be available for training the operations organization.

Helse Nord IKT wants 2-3 consultants at a senior and/or specialist level to further develop Cisco Catalyst Centre. The consultants shall assist with: consulting, active use of Cisco Catalyst Centre, and actively contribute to the ongoing equipment replacements. In addition, assistance and development for automation of data exchange with other administrative systems such as NetBox and Asset are desired.

Responsibilities

Competence and experience

• Design of future solution, including establishing standards for the use of Cisco Catalyst Center.
• Active consulting and establishment of profiles/templates based on best practice.
• Establish automation as part of profile building.
• Active participant in equipment replacements with updates in Cisco Catalyst Center.
• Document completed work in accordance with the guidelines in Helse Nord IKT.
• Consulting and execution in connection with establishing integrations.
• Min. 5-7 years of experience.
• Long demonstrable experience from similar deliveries to large, complex organizations.
• Documented experience with setup of Cisco Catalyst Center, including active work with equipment replacements and automation.
• Demonstrable experience with dialogue-based consulting.
• Demonstrable experience with integrations to/from Cisco Catalyst Center.
• Personal qualities will be emphasized, including:
• Good communication skills, both oral and written.
• Must be good at collaboration and prepared to go the extra mile to contribute to the program's success.
• Knowledge transfer.
• Good pedagogical skills, preferably demonstrable.

Scope: 2-3 consultants in approx. 150% position, where the equipment replacement part is considered 100% and 50% on automation/integration.

Option: 3 x 3 months.
