Network & Security Engineer – Firewall (M/F)

Project overview

As part of strengthening the infrastructure and security teams of a large group, we are looking for a Network & Security Engineer specializing in Firewalls to be involved in BUILD and RUN activities.

You will be responsible for ensuring the operational maintenance of security infrastructures, managing filtering rules, and contributing to the continuous improvement of technical environments.

We are looking for an experienced profile with solid experience in the administration and operation of network and security infrastructures, particularly in Firewall environments.

Work environment

You will join a demanding IT environment within teams specializing in network infrastructures and cybersecurity.

The mission is part of a production context with high stakes in availability, performance, and security, with regular interactions between project, operations, and security teams.

Technical environment: Palo Alto, Fortinet, VMware NSX, Firewall, network filtering, web filtering, Proxy, MCO, BUILD/RUN.

Out-of-hours interventions (HNO) and regular on-call duties are to be expected.

• Implement flow matrices according to project needs.
• Ensure the creation, modification, and optimization of filtering rules on firewalls.
• Analyze and handle incidents related to security infrastructures.
• Perform technical diagnostics and propose corrective or workaround solutions.
• Ensure the application and adherence to internal security policies.
• Participate in the operational maintenance (MCO) of security equipment.
• Contribute to security audits and the implementation of remediation actions.
• Write and maintain technical documentation, procedures, and operating standards.
• Propose improvements to enhance security, performance, and quality of service.
• Participate in out-of-hours interventions (HNO) and network/security on-call duties.
• Palo Alto: proven mastery of administration, configuration, and troubleshooting.
• Fortinet: significant experience in managing equipment and filtering policies.
• VMware NSX: good command of network and security functionalities.
• Firewall: expertise in managing filtering rules, flow analysis, and incident resolution.
• Good knowledge of security policies and operational best practices.
• Experience with complex and critical production environments.
• Professional English required.
• Autonomy and rigor in managing daily activities.
• Good team spirit and service orientation.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and ability to clearly explain technical interventions.
• Proactive in proposing improvements to processes and infrastructures.
