For the municipality of Land van Cuijk, YER is looking for a Planning Lawyer RO/RB

The position

There is currently a lot of demand for RO planning lawyers due to the transition of the environmental plan as a result of the introduction of the environmental law. This transition must be completed by 2032. Additional hiring is needed in the planning lawyer discipline to free up permanent staff to work on the transition of the environmental plan.

The Land van Cuijk is a young municipality that was formed in 2022 by the merger of five municipalities in Northeast Brabant. What do you bring

• Advise on complex legal issues in the field of the physical living environment, such as: environmental quality and plans, economy, and RO legislation. Legal review of physical environment procedures and safeguarding legal quality.
• Legally translate laws and regulations and case law in the field of RO planning procedures into municipal policy and advise on solutions and legal process risks.
• Represent the municipality in objection and appeal cases, including mediation, including conducting defense on behalf of the municipality before the Council of State.
• You may also be deployed on parts of the transition plan.

• A completed law degree (spatial/administrative law/university).
• Has held a position/positions in the field of spatial planning advice for at least 3 years in their career (with comparable activities).
