Policy Advisor WMO

Project overview

The assignment focuses on ensuring the continuity and quality of policy development within the WMO domain.

Profile of the suited interim professional:

• Updating and further expanding WMO policy based on national developments and municipal ambitions
• Taking up and successfully completing outstanding policy files and administrative issues
• Writing policy proposals, proposals for the executive and council, memos, and evaluation reports
• Preparing administrative decision-making and advising administrators and management
• Acting as a substantive discussion partner for contract managers, consultants, and managers
• Participating in regional consultations on behalf of the municipality and maintaining relationships with care providers and other partners
• Monitoring progress on policy goals and proposing improvements and savings
• Identifying risks and trends within the WMO and translating them into concrete advice
• Ensuring dossier construction and transfer for future fulfillment of the role
• Demonstrable experience as an independent policy advisor in the social domain
• Extensive knowledge of the WMO 2015, municipal policy processes, and administrative decision-making
• Experience in drafting administrative documents and advising management and administration
• Skill in independently managing and delivering policy files with a focus on results
• Highly developed analytical, communication, and advisory skills
• Proactive and independent work attitude
