Job Description – AI Product Owner (Legal and Tax Sector)

Context and Challenge:

The IT department of the tax division of a large law firm and accounting firm is looking for an AI Product Owner for its internal AI innovation program.

Missions:

The PO manages several products and several groups of lawyers in parallel:

Profile:

Conditions:

• Organization: The division's IT department manages projects and innovation internally; infrastructure, security, and support are shared with the group.
• Volume: We have gone from approximately 30 projects per year in 2023 to 100-120 today, with the same headcount.
• Problem: Lawyers delegate the expression of needs, then complain about a lack of understanding. They oscillate between unrealistic expectations and a total absence of vision.
• Existing: For the past 6 months, workshops have been conducted with panels of 4 to 5 lawyers per specialty to map processes and identify what AI can automate.
• Lead in-person business workshops with lawyer panels.
• Challenge the need, don't just note it; reframe unrealistic expectations.
• Evaluate AI feasibility during sessions: limitations, risks, rough estimation of difficulty.
• Write a one-page project charter (objective and key business rules).
• Produce a quick POC in vibe coding for visual validation by the business.
• Define the MVP by prioritizing between P0, P1, and nice to have.
• Manage offshore development (Argentina, Tunisia): information transmission, planning, monitoring, acceptance testing.
• Disqualifying criterion: Speak the language of lawyers and tax advisors.
• Sector: Legal or tax; failing that, insurance.
• Experience: PO or project manager on AI or digital products, with experience managing offshore teams.
• Technical: Good understanding of generative AI (LLMs, agents, limitations), vibe coding tools, product methods (charter, MVP, backlog, acceptance testing).
• Soft skills: "Well-made head" (i.e., sharp mind), challenger posture with partners, pedagogical skills.
• Languages: French & English.
• Location: La Défense. Workshops are in person; the rest can be done with flexible remote work.
• Duration: No end date.
