Context of the mission

As part of a strategic Data transformation program, a major player in the banking and financial sector is looking for an experienced Data Project Manager to lead the scoping of a new Data services offering for an entity specializing in insurance.

The mission aims to structure an offering that meets the needs of the Investment, Finance, Risk, and Impact departments, while defining operational models, architectures, and implementation methods.

The consultant will work closely with the Data, Architecture, IT, and Services teams to build a target trajectory consistent with business challenges and organizational priorities.

Strategic scoping and needs analysis

Definition of the operational model and target architecture

Construction of the offering and implementation trajectory

Cross-functional management and coordination

• Gather and formalize the Data needs of the various business departments.
• Analyze the challenges related to financial, investment, risk, and impact data.
• Identify priority data domains and services to be implemented.
• Define the functional scope and project objectives.
• Build the Target Operating Model (TOM) for future Data services.
• Coordinate the definition of the target architecture with technical and functional teams.
• Identify reference data sources (Golden Sources) according to domains and uses.
• Define quality requirements, control rules, and data governance principles.
• Ensure the consistency of proposed solutions with existing architectures and practices.
• Structure a Data services offering tailored to the needs of business entities.
• Define the operating procedures and expected service levels.
• Develop the pricing model for Data services.
• Estimate the workload, costs, and resources required for implementation.
• Build the roadmap and provisional deployment schedule.
• Manage the various scoping phases and ensure the quality of deliverables.
• Lead working sessions with business departments and IT teams.
• Organize and conduct project committees and steering committees.
• Coordinate contributions from the Data, Architecture, and Services teams.
• Ensure follow-up of decisions, risks, and arbitration points.
