SAP EWM Functional Support / AMS Consultant (L2/L3)

Project overview

Contract role in Västerås for a 6–8 years SAP EWM functional consultant to provide L2/L3 AMS support and continuous improvements. The consultant will handle incidents/requests/problem management with RCA and SLA ownership, support releases/transports/changes, and translate warehouse business requirements into SAP EWM solutions. The scope includes solution enhancements, SIT/UAT/regression testing support, functional specifications, and integration support between SAP EWM and S/4HANA/ECC plus warehouse automation and execution systems (MES, MFC, AMR, 3PL/TMS).

Strong documentation and knowledge transfer are expected, with a focus on automation/innovation and operational excellence in AMS.

Responsibilities

• Provide L2/L3 support for SAP EWM incidents, service requests, and problem management.
• Analyze and resolve production issues within agreed SLAs.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement preventive measures.
• Support release management, transport activities, and change requests.Business Process Consulting
• Understand warehouse business processes and translate business requirements into SAP EWM solutions.
• Recommend process improvements to increase warehouse efficiency and automation.
• Collaborate with warehouse operations, supply chain, and manufacturing teams.Solution Design & Enhancements
• Design and implement SAP EWM enhancements and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support testing activities including SIT, UAT, and regression testing.
• Prepare functional specifications and coordinate with technical teams.Integration Management
• Support integrations between SAP EWM and: o SAP S/4HANA / ECCo MES Systemso Material Flow Control (MFC)o Automated Mobile Robots (AMR)o Warehouse Automation Systemso Third-party logistics and transportation systemsDocumentation & Knowledge Transfer
• Create and maintain process documentation, SOPs, and support manuals.

Requirements

• SAP EWM functional support (L2/L3) for incidents, service requests, and problem management
• Production issue analysis and resolution within SLAs
• Root cause analysis (RCA) and preventive/corrective actions
• Warehouse business process understanding and process consulting in warehousing/logistics
• SAP EWM solution design and functional enhancements (continuous improvement)
• Release management support, change requests handling, and SAP transport activities
• Testing support: SIT, UAT, regression testing
• Functional specification writing and coordination with technical teams
• Integration support involving SAP EWM and SAP S/4HANA or SAP ECC
• Documentation: process documentation, SOPs, support manuals; knowledge transfer to users/support teams
