Senior Business Analyst – Agentic Gen AI

Project overview

This contract role is for a Senior Business Analyst who will connect banking stakeholders, compliance and operations teams, and AI/ML engineers to design and deliver agentic Gen AI solutions. Candidates must bring 7–10 years of Business Analysis experience, technology or digital transformation delivery in Banking or Financial Services, and a strong grounding in banking processes. They should understand LLMs, prompt engineering, RAG, and agent capabilities, alongside business analysis practices including BPMN, requirements documentation, Agile delivery, SQL, and relational databases.

FEC experience and familiarity with agent orchestration or safety frameworks are preferred, as are relevant BA, Agile, or AI/cloud certifications. The role is based in Amsterdam; the work mode is not specified, and the description does not identify a specific bank or product team.

Responsibilities

• Key Responsibilities1. Agentic Gen AI & AI Solution Design
• Analyze complex, manual, and semi-automated banking workflows to identify high-impact use cases for Agentic AI (e.g., task decomposition, multi-agent collaboration, autonomous reasoning, tool usage, and human-in-the-loop governance).
• Formulate detailed functional designs for autonomous agents, defining system prompts, goal definitions, reflection/evaluation loops, toolsets/APIs, and guardrails.
• Collaborate with AI engineers and solution architects on retrieval architectures (RAG), vector databases, LLM orchestration frameworks (e.g., LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI, AutoGen), and model evaluation benchmarks.
• Define and monitor metrics for agent accuracy, latency, hallucination reduction, tool-calling success rates, and business ROI.
• Banking Business Analysis & Requirements Engineering
• Act as the primary liaison between business units, IT, enterprise risk, and data science teams to elicit, document, and prioritize business and technical requirements.
• Author comprehensive Business Requirements Documents (BRD), Functional Specification Documents (FSD), User Stories, and acceptance criteria in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Ensure all AI solutions comply with banking governance, explainability, auditability, data privacy (GDPR/PII), and responsible AI guidelines.

Requirements

• 7–10 years of Business Analyst experience delivering technology or digital transformation projects
• Banking or Financial Services experience and knowledge of core banking processes
• Understanding of Generative AI concepts, including LLMs, prompt engineering, RAG, and fine-tuning versus prompt-based adaptation
• Practical exposure to agentic AI architectures, including multi-agent orchestration, autonomous decision-making, tool/function calling, memory, and feedback loops
• Business process mapping using BPMN, gap analysis, and data mapping
• Requirements engineering, including BRDs, FSDs, user stories, and acceptance criteria
• API integration specifications
• Agile delivery using Jira, Confluence, Scrum, or Kanban
• Data analysis, SQL querying, and relational databases
• AI solution governance covering explainability, auditability, GDPR/PII, and responsible AI
