Senior Business Analyst ETRM - Energy Trading Product Modeling

Project overview

We are looking for a Senior Business Analyst for a long-term mission with our client in the banking/finance sector in the Paris region. You will join a product modeling team for a recently deployed ETRM platform, at the heart of global energy trading activities.

You will be the functional bridge between Front Office, Risk, Finance, Operations, IT, and the solution editor. Your trading models must be robust, scalable, and reusable.

Your missions:

A high-visibility role in an international and demanding environment. You will join Ingéniance on a permanent executive contract (CDI cadre) and its community of capital markets experts.

Profile sought

You have at least 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst in energy or commodities trading, ideally on large-scale ETRM transformation or migration programs. You have a strong understanding of the trade lifecycle, from capture to settlement, valuation, and risk processes. Knowledge of Orchestrade or another major ETRM is a real plus. You can translate complex trading structures into system models and work with static data, pricing, and integrations. A Master's degree (Bac+5) is desired. Fluent English is essential.

You are autonomous, rigorous, results-oriented, assertive, a good listener, able to challenge needs, and manage multiple topics simultaneously.

• Analyze complex trading activities and contracts (electricity, gas, LNG, environmental products, renewables, batteries, PPAs) and design trade models, lifecycles, and settlement mechanisms within the platform.
• Gather and challenge business needs, perform gap analyses, define MVP scopes and roadmaps.
• Write functional specifications and target solutions.
• Be the primary functional contact for the editor: present needs, guide the modeling approach, validate developments.
• Define and manage system tests, non-regression tests, and UAT, and support user adoption.
• Lead the functional analysis of international migrations from a legacy ETRM and contribute to global deployments.
• Provide Level 2 functional support in production and propose continuous improvements.
