SENIOR SOFTWARE ENGINEER (Retail Media)

Responsibilities

What we expect (must-have)

• Analysis and design of solutions: the business defines the goal, and your task is to find and implement the solution.
• Deployment and monitoring of applications in production.
• Development of the existing advertising system.
• Performing A/B tests and experimenting with ways to improve ad selection and other aspects of the system.
• Implementation of BigData processing on BigQuery.
• DevOps: Deployment, monitoring, and maintenance of applications in a production environment based on Kubernetes.
• Experience in the retail media, ad-tech industry

• Experience working with AI agents (Claude Code / Codex / etc.)
• we expect fluency in working on several tasks simultaneously by delegating to agents and thoroughly reviewing the agent's work.
• Independence in delivering working solutions from start to finish.
• Ability to present solution proposals to the team. You devise a solution to a business problem and then present it at refinement to the rest of the team, and we iterate on it.
• Knowledge of modern JVM (21+) or similar technologies.
• Experience with databases such as PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Elasticsearch.
• Experience with queuing systems (e.g., Kafka).
• Experience with microservices on Kubernetes or similar platforms.
• Knowledge of "how it works underneath". You can debug network problems, pinpoint where the problem occurs. You know how a browser works, you know how it communicates with the backend.
