Project overview

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will work on the further development of the RiskShield platform within the Financial Crime & Compliance domain.

Profile of the suited interim professional:

• Develop and maintain Python applications and services within the Financial Crime domain
• Create and improve complex SQL scripts and database processes
• Link RiskShield to internal and external data sources
• Create new detection rules for transaction, sanctions, and customer screening
• Improve the performance, availability, and scalability of the screening processes
• Manage and improve the RiskShield servers and their associated infrastructure
• Supervise deployments, releases, and adjustments within the RiskShield environment
• Collaborate with Compliance, KYC analysts, Product Owners, and Architects
• Translate new AML, KYC, and sanction requirements into technical solutions
• Bachelor's or Master's degree, preferably in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent
• Minimum of 4 years of experience as a Software Engineer, Backend Developer, or Data Engineer
• Strong programming skills in Python
• Broad experience with SQL and relational databases
• Experience with Linux environments and server management
• Knowledge of API integrations and data processing pipelines
• Experience in the financial sector or another strictly regulated environment
• Affinity with AML, KYC, Transaction Monitoring, Fraud Detection, or Sanctions Screening
• Experience with INFORM RiskShield as a plus
• Good command of Dutch and English
