Assignment Description Senior Mobile UI/Interaction Designer, Mobile Competence Center We are looking for a Senior Mobile UI/Interaction Designer with a proven track record in designing high-quality, user-friendly mobile applications. You have extensive experience in translating complex user needs, business objectives, and technical constraints into intuitive and effective design solutions for iOS and Android. You will design in accordance with the guidelines of the Tax Administration and Central Government, and work from the in-house mobile design system.

As a Mobile UI/Interaction Designer, you are responsible for designing user experiences that seamlessly meet the needs of users and clients. You combine a keen eye for detail and visual quality with a deep understanding of usability, accessibility, and mobile interaction patterns. You will work on multiple projects simultaneously and make a significant contribution to the quality and consistency of mobile solutions within the Tax Administration.

Thanks to your strong communication skills, you can clearly and convincingly convey design choices, insights, and UX vision to designers, developers, product owners, and other stakeholders. You are able to substantively justify design decisions, build consensus, and inspire others. You handle feedback professionally and know how to effectively incorporate it into the design process. You are also able to optimize user experiences for different formats, including mobile, tablet, and web. Part of the assignment is the current transition from .NET MAUI to native app development for iOS and Android.

Therefore, we are looking for a UX Designer with experience in designing both cross-platform and native mobile applications. Knowledge of and experience with Apple Human Interface Guidelines (HIG), Google Material Design, and mobile design systems are of great added value. Background of Assignment The Mobile Competence Center (MCC) of the Tax Administration develops and manages mobile solutions for citizens, businesses, and employees. For this, we develop native mobile applications for iOS (Swift) and Android (Kotlin), supported by .NET back-end services.

We also develop mobile applications for other parts of the Central Government, including various ministries. Within the MCC, multidisciplinary teams work on diverse assignments: from large-scale applications with significant societal impact to innovative initiatives exploring new mobile possibilities. Usability, accessibility, quality, and a consistent user experience are central to this. We are looking for professionals who are energized by this. Requirements Only Dutch CVs will be submitted, and candidates must speak Dutch perfectly. The assignment is less suitable for freelancers due to the DBA law.

Comparable: NN/g (Nielsen Norman Group), UXQB (CPUX), certification is a plus. UI/Interaction design (demonstrable) experience with mobile solutions in accordance with Google and Apple guidelines (5 years). Desirables A requirement for a senior UI/Interaction Designer for the Mobile Competence Center is a portfolio review. Please have this in order and available upon request or during intake. Competencies Communicative and can convincingly convey work, insights, and vision to colleagues. Social team player, driven yet independent. Analytical and does nothing without reason: every design decision can be justified.

Pragmatic and results-oriented approach. Able to visualize ideas and convert them into an interactive and visual prototype. Additional Information When you, as a supplier, offer a professional to us and they are placed, we will need information from you as a contracting party, including regarding the Chain Liability Act (Wet keten- en inlenersaansprakelijkheid). The 'WKA' aims to prevent abuse in the remittance of payroll taxes at all links in the chain; from supplier to client. We cover these risks for our clients through a blocked account, the G-account.

This is an account to which a portion of the invoice amount is deposited and from which you can pay payroll taxes and VAT to the Tax Administration. The percentage to be deposited depends on whether you have a SNA certification (NEN-4400-1 or NEN-4400-2) and whether your company is located in the Netherlands or abroad. You can apply for the G-account from the Tax Administration. If you cannot obtain a G-account (and you can provide proof from the Tax Administration), you also have the option to provide an auditor's statement (assurance report regarding personnel lending) quarterly.

In this, a certified accountant (AA or RA) will issue a statement on the correctness, completeness, and timeliness of the remittances. Please note that the costs for this statement are at your own expense.
