Assignment Description

We are looking for a Solution Architect at Level 4.

The assignment involves working with solution architecture in an environment with extensive, distributed, and business-critical systems. The work includes analysis, design, and development of solution architecture, technical choices, lifecycle management, troubleshooting, maintenance, and participation in releases. You will work with systems that have high demands on availability, data integrity, and scalability, where modernization and migration towards microservices and container-based platforms are central.

The assignment involves collaboration with business, product management, development teams, and other architects. You are expected to contribute to decision-making processes, anchor architectural choices, and ensure that the solutions comply with established principles, target architecture, and quality requirements. The work is carried out in an agile delivery organization according to SAFe.

We are looking for a Solution Architect with broad experience in Java-based development, microservice architecture, and container platforms. The role requires you to be driven, take initiative, and have an easy time collaborating with others. You have experience working in teams and with Scrum. The tasks include both new development and maintenance of complex systems, including the design of extensive IT support with high demands on robustness and long-term sustainability.

You have particularly good experience working with micro-frontends, web components, microservices, and event-driven architectures, and can translate these patterns into practical solutions that work in large-scale and complex environments.

We are looking for someone who can delve into technical details and get things done. You build good relationships, are communicative, and confident in presenting solutions in a group.

Information about interviews

If a candidate is presented to the client, the candidate must be available for an interview within seven (7) working days from the time the candidate has received a call from Upgraded.

Security screening:

Skatteverket is subject to the Security Protection Act, which means the assignment may be placed in a security class. This involves, among other things, requirements for security screening of the consultant and that subcontractors must enter into a security protection agreement.

Before a security protection agreement can be entered into, Skatteverket is obliged to conduct a suitability assessment of the subcontractor in accordance with the Security Protection Act (2018:585) Chapter 4, Sections 7-8.

The scope of the security screening will be communicated at a later stage in the selection process. The process for establishing a security protection agreement and conducting a security screening and any background check usually takes 8-12 weeks from the assignment award, but can take longer or shorter. If the assignment is placed in a security class, the assignment cannot begin until this process has been completed and a start date has been communicated by the client.

Requirements

The consultant must achieve at least competence level 4 according to the framework agreement:

Normally achieved after 9-12 years of work in the relevant role.

A Level 4 consultant corresponds to being at essentially the highest level in terms of knowledge and experience, etc.

Work in a specific role or competence area for more than 12 years does not automatically mean a consultant achieves Level 5.

Knowledge: high generalist competence, or very high competence in the relevant area, role, software, language.

Experience: has participated in large assignments within the relevant area and completed assignments with very high quality. Is a role model for other consultants at lower levels.

Leadership: takes primary responsibility for leading a larger group, software, or language.

Independence: very high.

• Minimum 10 years of experience in solution architecture for distributed systems with high demands on data integrity, availability, and scalability.
• Minimum 12 years of experience in Java development, including work with modern frameworks such as SpringBoot and Quarkus.
• Minimum 5 years of experience with micro-frontends, web components, and modern web platforms.
• Minimum 5 years of experience with microservices, event-driven architecture, and container platforms such as OpenShift.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in anchoring architectural choices in formal decision-making processes in complex organizations.
• Level 4
• Experience with enterprise architecture and working with target architecture
• Experience with modern web platforms (Angular, Vue)
• Experience in working with and applying design systems in a large complex IT environment
• Experience in designing complex IT support in a large authority with at least 10,000 employees.
• Experience in designing component-based web architectures
• Be structured and results-oriented
• Have good collaboration skills with a helpful attitude
• Be able to analyze complex problems and make relevant delimitations
• Have very good ability to give presentations and explain technical solutions
• Be productive with the ability to drive work forward independently
