Our client in the Banking and Finance sector is looking for a Mainframe Storage & Security z/OS System Administrator - X3 M/F

Mission Description:

Context:

Company in the banking sector with several internal clients, particularly from retail banking, finance, securities, bank messaging, insurance, and credit.

Position of Mainframe Storage System Administrator within the Mainframe technical division, with a dimension of access security and data protection.

The administrator is responsible for:

Key Competency:

Expertise in Mainframe Storage administration, particularly SMS and ACS routines.

Knowledge of RACF and authorization management mechanisms, as well as data protection and operation traceability challenges on z/OS environments.

Projects and Evolutions:

With confirmed experience in Mainframe Storage administration, the employee will contribute to projects for the evolution and optimization of disk (DASD) and tape (VTS) capacity, as well as improving the security and reliability of z/OS platforms.

They will analyze the existing situation, propose improvements, participate in the implementation of validated solutions, and measure gains recurrently.

The Sysplex and Geoplex environments require a high level of reliability, rigor, and traceability.

Project Mode and Documentation:

Ability to understand the needs of business entities, translate technical constraints into functional challenges, convince clients, and follow objectives through to completion.

Ability to work in a team, produce technical documentation, and provide reporting.

Essential Skills / Qualities:

Mainframe z/OS Storage administration, mastery of SMS and ACS routines, mastery of RACF, access and authorization management, knowledge of backup, restore, and data management mechanisms.

• L3 support for application teams in case of file unavailability.
• Operational readiness of the storage and backup scope, on the logical part, not hardware.
• Management of data backups and restorations to ensure their availability and recovery in case of incidents.
• Management of access and authorizations with RACF on z/OS environments.
• Protection of sensitive data, contribution to encryption mechanisms, and control of secure exchanges.
• Monitoring security events, detecting abnormal behavior, analyzing logs, and tracing operations.
• Administration and evolution of storage management tools: DFHSM, CA-1, TACM, TDMF, and Vantage.
• z/OS production environments, monoplex, Sysplex, and Geoplex.
• Mainframe environments with high availability and reliability requirements.
• IBM disk arrays.
• Virtual Tape Servers (VTS) and IBM robots.
• Tools DFHSM, CA-1, TACM, TDMF, and Vantage.
• SMS and ACS routines.
• RACF: access and authorization management.
• Protection of sensitive data and security of exchanges.
• Logs, event monitoring, and traceability.
• 10 years of mainframe administration, 5 years in storage.
• Knowledge of RACF and z/OS security mechanisms.
