Project overview

As part of the modernization of its information system, the client wishes to migrate several central services based on a legacy architecture to a target architecture defined by IT architects. The project involves the creation of five application components: a relational database, two APIs exposed via OKAPI, and two Java batch processes dedicated to data import and monthly report export.

The mission consists of strengthening the existing team with backend Java expertise to ensure the design, development, and quality of the new services, while supporting developers in their skill development.

Expected Profile:

Confirmed Java Tech Lead with 3 to 8 years of experience, with strong expertise in the design and development of Java backend services and proficiency in Spring Boot. Solid experience with REST API architectures, batch processing, relational databases, and continuous integration environments is expected. Proficiency in Kotlin and advanced use of AI tools are sought-after complementary skills, as is experience in technical leadership.

The profile must be autonomous, pedagogical, and capable of supporting an existing team in a multi-stakeholder environment organized according to SAFe, with particular attention to quality, performance, and technical documentation.

• Analyze the existing architecture and functional needs to prepare for the migration of central services
• Participate in technical scoping and define the target application architecture
• Initialize project components in the continuous integration platform using internal frameworks
• Design and develop Java backend services with Spring Boot, Spring Batch, and JPA/Hibernate
• Develop REST management APIs and services exposed via the OKAPI platform
• Design and implement Java batch processes for data import and export
• Participate in the design and implementation of the PostgreSQL or MySQL relational database
• Create reference components and support developers in their implementation
• Define development best practices and perform code reviews and merge requests
• Technically support the team on architectural choices and problem-solving
• Integrate AI tools and assistants into design and development activities
• Define and perform unit, technical, and integration tests with project teams
• Ensure the performance, robustness, resilience, and quality of developed components
• Write design documents, service contracts, test dossiers, and production deployment deliverables
• Collaborate with integration and operations teams, handle acceptance and production feedback, and contribute to Kotlin evolutions based on available skills
