Senior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) - Payment Platform (M/F)

Job Title: Tech Lead SRE

Experience Required: Minimum 8 years (SRE, DevOps, Cloud Engineering)

Languages Required: French, Fluent English (C1/C2)

Cloud Environment: Regulated Cloud / IBM Cloud (VPC, OpenShift, HPCS, Security Manager)

The Tech Lead (SRE) role is strategic for ensuring the performance, reliability, and security of production environments supporting a critical payment platform operating across Europe.

Working closely with development, architecture, production, and cybersecurity teams, you will help define the platform's reliability standards and support teams in adopting SRE practices.

Profile Sought

Education: Engineering degree or Master 2 in Computer Science.

Experience: Minimum 8 years of experience in SRE, DevOps, Cloud Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering, or Production Engineering on critical platforms with high availability requirements.

Soft Skills & Leadership: Clarity in writing and speaking, collaborative work, analytical skills, and ability to solve complex problems in distributed environments.

Languages & Sector: Fluent French, Fluent English (C1/C2). Experience in the payment, finance, or regulated environments sectors is highly appreciated.

Work Environment

Remote Work: First 3 months are 100% onsite, then 2 days of remote work per week.

• Main Responsibilities
• Reliability & Resilience: Ensure the availability, performance, and resilience of systems in line with SLO/SLA.
• Performance Indicators: Define and manage reliability indicators (SLI, SLO, Error Budgets).
• Observability & Monitoring: Design and evolve observability, monitoring, and alerting solutions.
• Automation & IaC: Automate deployments, operations, and infrastructure administration using Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Incident Management: Lead critical incidents, conduct root cause analyses (RCA), and post-mortems.
• Operational Security: Develop and maintain security controls (IAM, ACL, Firewall, VPN, IPSEC, secret management).
• Architecture & Reviews: Formalize architectures and contribute to exploitability and resilience reviews.
• Developer Support: Support development teams in improving the operational quality of applications.
• Compliance & Standards: Ensure compliance with PCI-DSS, DORA, ISO 27001, and IBM FS Cloud frameworks.
• Mentoring & Culture: Contribute to the skill development of SRE engineers and the dissemination of best practices.
• Technical Skills & AI Integration
• Languages & Automation: Terraform, Python, Bash, Helm, Ansible
• Containerization & Orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift
• Security & DevSecOps: Cybersecurity best practices, mastery of OWASP frameworks, SAST/DAST testing, ACL management
• Cloud & Regulated Environment: Cloud experience, ideally IBM Cloud (VPC, OpenShift, IAM, HPCS, Monitoring, Logs, Secret Manager...)
• Generative AI applied to Engineering: Use of generative AI tools (Claude or equivalent) in a professional context; interest in specialized agents and AI applied to SRE, DevOps, and IaC activities to accelerate development, standardization, and operations.
• Appreciated Skills (a plus): PostgreSQL, Kafka, MongoDB, VSI Red Hat Linux, Object Storage, IBM Cloud SRE Certification
