Job description

The technical application administrator is part of a DevOps team within the Confidential Information department. This department consists of various DevOps/Scrum teams. The teams work on applications with a high degree of confidentiality that are of great importance to the Netherlands.

Responsibilities

On-call duty (24/7) is part of the activities.

Background of the assignment

The teams within the Confidential Information department of DICTU work on applications for the Central Government Office for Identity Data (RvIG). Work is done according to Agile/Scrum, with the client fulfilling the Product Owner role. The team works closely with other teams, for example with the Network and DBA teams. In addition to developing the application, the entire team is also responsible for daily management. The applications are developed in .Net.

• Automating the deployment of the application (using containerization or Ansible)
• Installing and troubleshooting the application running in a Windows or Linux (container) environment
• Coordinating activities with functional management (of the client)
• Advising and supporting the Product Owner in implementing changes
• Managing and adapting the various environments
• Support in developing parts of the platform
• Setting up and monitoring logging on applications and systems
• Coordinating changes for the application.

Requirements

HBO+ ICT education with diploma.

Minimum 3 years of demonstrable experience with the management of Microsoft Windows systems.

Minimum 3 years of demonstrable experience with the management of .Net applications.

Minimum 1 year of demonstrable experience with containerization in the Linux technology stack (Kubernetes, Helm charts).

Candidate speaks, reads, and writes the Dutch language at language level B2.

Wishes

Demonstrable experience as an employee within a Scrum/DevOps team.

Demonstrable experience with Microsoft SQL systems.

Demonstrable experience with Monitoring/Logging: Zabbix, ElasticSearch, Kibana, Logstash.

Demonstrable experience with GitOps.

Demonstrable experience with Rancher and RKE2.

Additional information

When you, as a supplier, offer a professional to us and they are placed, we will need information from you as a contractual party, including regarding the Chain Liability Act (Wet keten- en inlenersaansprakelijkheid). The purpose of the 'WKA' is to prevent abuse in the remittance of payroll taxes at all links in the chain; from supplier to client. We cover these risks for our clients by means of a blocked account, the G-account. This is an account to which a portion of the invoice amount is deposited and from which you can pay payroll taxes and VAT to the Tax Authorities.

The percentage to be deposited depends on whether you have a SNA certification (NEN-4400-1 or NEN-4400-2) and whether your company is established in the Netherlands or abroad. You can apply for the G-account from the Tax Authorities. If you cannot obtain a G-account (and you can provide proof of this from the Tax Authorities), you also have the option to provide an auditor's statement (assurance report regarding personnel lending) every quarter. In this, a certified accountant (AA or RA) will issue a statement about the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of the remittances.
