As part of the continuous improvement of development environments, we are looking for a Developer Workstation Support to assist technical teams in deploying, evolving, and optimizing their work environments.

Your main objective will be to facilitate the daily lives of developers by ensuring the accessibility, availability, and performance of the tools, components, and frameworks necessary for their activities.

You will work in a rich and heterogeneous technical environment, with a strong focus on support, coordination, tool management, and improving the developer experience.

• Assist teams in configuring and customizing developer workstations.
• Ensure compliance with security standards and technical standards.
• Identify developer needs and propose solutions adapted to their work environments.
• Facilitate access to the tools, components, and frameworks necessary for development.

• Ensure the availability of packages and tools for developers.
• Manage the package lifecycle: creation, evolution, deployment, and update.

• Promote and support the deployment of development environment virtualization solutions.
• Participate in the implementation and adoption of Red Hat Dev Spaces.
• Support developers in adopting these new environments.
• Contribute to the improvement and industrialization of virtualized development environments.
• Technological watch and continuous improvement
• Monitor market tools, technologies, and practices.
• Identify solutions that can improve the developer experience.
• Formulate technical recommendations and propose evolutions.
• Participate in the modernization and optimization of development environments.
• Operating systems: Windows, Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
• Languages and frameworks: Java, .NET, Angular, Python.
• Databases: Oracle, MySQL.
• Data tools: DataStage, Power BI.
• Scripting: Shell.
• Containerization and platforms: OpenShift.
• Cloud: Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Virtualized development environments: Red Hat Dev Spaces, Huber solution.
• Proven experience in managing work environments and development workstations.
• Good knowledge of Windows and Linux environments, particularly Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
• Good understanding of development environments and their technical dependencies.
• Knowledge of languages, frameworks, and tools used by development teams.
• Experience in managing packages, versions, and the lifecycle of software components.
• Knowledge of development environment virtualization solutions.
• Experience with Red Hat Dev Spaces or Cloud development environments would be highly appreciated.
• Ability to support users and coordinate technical teams.
• Skills in documentation, support, and continuous improvement.
• Higher education in IT.
• Experience as a Workstation Engineer, Developer Environment Expert, DevOps Engineer, or Tooling Engineer.
• Good understanding of the constraints and needs of development teams.
• Strong service orientation and user satisfaction focus.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to lead technical communities.
• Autonomy, rigor, organization, and analytical skills.
• Proactive and strong interest in new technologies and improving the developer experience.
