Project overview

For our client, we are looking for 1 Project Manager SAP Cloud Transformation (m/f/d) Stuttgart and Remote (30/70).

Responsibilities

• Development of a cloud strategy for the future SAP landscape, including vision, guardrails, and decision logic.
• Evaluation and selection of suitable SAP cloud and private cloud scenarios, especially RISE with SAP and SAP Sovereign Cloud (on-site/external).
• Development of the target architecture, considering applications, data, and interfaces.
• Creation of a migration strategy and migration planning.
• Ensuring economic viability and creation of business cases.
• Management of involved service providers.
• Stakeholder management and communication with involved organizational units.
• Preparation of complex technical, economic, and organizational issues.
• Preparation of strategic decisions for management and center leadership.

• Project management certification, several years of relevant project experience, preferably experience in the public or municipal sector.
• SAP S/4HANA, especially Finance
• SAP Cloud Strategies (RISE with SAP, Sovereign Cloud, Private Cloud)

• Management Consulting and Decision Preparation
• Project Management: Certification in project management
• Cloud Strategy: Experience in developing and implementing cloud strategies, preferably in hybrid SAP landscapes
• SAP Knowledge: Experience with SAP S/4HANA, especially Finance, optionally HR and related processes
• Transformation Management: Several years of experience in managing complex IT transformation or cloud projects
• Public Sector: Experience in the public or municipal sector preferably available
• Digital Sovereignty: Experience with cloud sovereignty and data sovereignty
• IT Architecture: Experience in creating current and target architectures
• Migration Architecture: Dependency analyses for applications, data, and interfaces, as well as experience with exit and emergency concepts
• IT Security: Good knowledge of IT security, data protection, and cloud governance
• Economic Viability: Experience with business cases and economic viability assessments
• Strategic Consulting: Ability to merge technical, economic, and regulatory requirements into a consistent, decision-ready strategy
• Language Skills: German at least B2 or C1
• The required technology and project management knowledge must be clearly evident from the project history.
• Start date 01.12.2026, initially 13 months, 185 person-days (of which 65 person-days in Stuttgart), with an option to extend by another 12 months with 80 person-days.
• The skill focus should explicitly be on SAP Cloud Transformation with strategic architecture competence. A classic SAP project manager without cloud strategy and architecture knowledge will likely not fully meet the minimum requirements.
