Hello,

we are looking for 6x Platform Engineers VMware:

Responsibilities

• Planning and technical design of platform components including cluster setup, sizing, parameterization, and interfaces.
• Implementation and configuration of VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF 9), including management and workload domains, vSAN ESA, and VDI clusters.
• Development and maintenance of Infrastructure-as-Code automation with Ansible and Terraform.
• Implementation and control of deployments via GitLab CI pipelines according to the GitOps principle.
• Setup and integration of Backup & Recovery with Rubrik, archive storage, and central platform services such as Active Directory, PKI/certificates, DNS/DHCP/IPAM, and NTP.
• Implementation of security hardening and corresponding security baselines.
• Execution of platform rollouts at multiple locations including deployment, acceptance tests, troubleshooting, and handover to operations.
• Creation and maintenance of technical documentation as well as as-built documentation.
• Execution of automated regression tests and cross-site implementation of bug fixes.
• Knowledge transfer and technical handover to the operations teams.

• At least 3 years of practical experience in VMware SDDC engineering in an enterprise environment.
• Very good knowledge of vSphere/vSAN; experience with VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) is explicitly preferred.
• Sound practical experience with Ansible – mandatory – as well as Terraform and Git.
• Confident handling of Infrastructure as Code, GitOps, and automated CI/CD pipelines.
• Good knowledge of Windows Server and/or RHEL as well as Active Directory, PKI, DNS, and DHCP.
• Experience with structured engineering processes, especially code reviews, automated tests, and consistent technical documentation.
• Professional English skills at least at C1 level.
