ABB 800xA Commissioning Engineer / Automation Technician

Project overview

For a demanding project in industrial plant construction, we are looking for an experienced ABB 800xA Commissioning Engineer with in-depth knowledge of programming and configuration of ABB AC 800M controllers.

Responsibilities

Commissioning and expansion of existing ABB 800xA automation systems

Adaptation and modification of a running system as part of a plant expansion

Programming, configuration, and operation of ABB AC 800M controllers

Hardware configuration and integration of new components into the existing automation structure

Adaptation and expansion of existing control programs

Execution of function tests, error analyses, and optimizations

Ensuring smooth integration of new plant sections into the existing system

Requirements

In-depth practical experience with ABB System 800xA and AC 800M controllers

Very good knowledge of programming with ABB Control Builder M

Experience in hardware configuration and commissioning of automation systems

Confident handling of existing control programs and their adaptation

Experience with modifications and expansions on running industrial plants

Ability to independently program and operate ABB 800xA systems

Structured, independent, and solution-oriented way of working

Experience in industrial production plants is an advantage
