Absence Case Manager

Project overview

As an absence case manager, you will be the fixed point of contact for managers and involved parties during the entire absence period.

Profile of the suited interim professional:

• Managing the entire absence process from the first day of illness
• Advising and supporting managers in complex absence situations
• Monitoring legal deadlines and file construction according to the Gatekeeper Improvement Act
• Coordinating occupational physician, company doctor, manager, employee, and external experts
• Identifying risks of WIA (disability insurance) inflow and implementing appropriate interventions
• Supporting the transition from the 'self-management' model to the 'co-management' model
• Contributing to the quality improvement of absence processes
• Analyzing absence trends and identifying improvement opportunities
• Completed HBO (higher professional education) in CROV
• Minimum of 5 years of recent (within 7 years) experience as an absence case manager
• Recent experience with absence, WVP (Work and Income Benefits Act), Ziektewet (Sickness Benefits Act), WIA, AVG (General Data Protection Regulation) and privacy legislation, and complex absence files
• Recent experience with the YouForce system
• Recent experience with absence management within larger organizations and coaching managers
• Recent experience with WVP, social security, and labor law
• Proficiency in the Dutch language
• Preferably work experience within a government organization
• Preferably experience with strategic advice and prevention interventions for sustainable employability
• Preferably education towards Register Care- and Casemanager (RCCM)
