Accounting Specialist

Project overview

We are looking for short-term support in accounting for an internationally active company. The focus of the project is on supporting balance sheet topics as well as cleaning up and reconciling vendor accounts. Additionally, tasks in ongoing financial accounting and closing activities will be involved.

Responsibilities

• Support with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements according to IFRS as well as local accounting standards of the DACH region
• Verification, cleanup, and reconciliation of vendor accounts and open items
• Analysis and clarification of discrepancies and unresolved booking processes
• Reconciliation of balance sheet accounts and support in ensuring correct balance sheet balances
• Processing and reconciliation of incoming invoices in cooperation with the Shared Service Center
• Execution and reconciliation of ongoing booking processes as well as booking of bank transactions

Requirements

• Sound experience in financial accounting and balance sheet accounting
• Practical experience in accounts payable accounting, account clarification, and cleanup of open items
• Experience with balance sheet account reconciliations and closing activities
• Sound practical knowledge in SAP R/3 and/or SAP S/4HANA
• Knowledge of IFRS and ideally of local accounting standards of the DACH region
• Very good written and spoken English skills, especially for international collaboration
• Independent, analytical, and structured way of working
• Short-term availability
