Seeking an interim professional to advise on machine safety for infrastructure projects, including reviewing designs, assessing processes, and developing safety approaches.
Project overview
Profile of the suited interim professional:
- Specifying the required functions for machine safety in contracts for new construction and renovation of works of art such as bridges, pumping stations, and locks
- Auditing the design process and the design solutions of the contractor
- Assessing the test and acceptance process based on national frameworks and laws and regulations
- Acting as a point of contact for the project organization and a discussion partner for the contractor
- Developing and applying a clear approach to machine safety within various projects
- Contributing to frameworks, working methods, and knowledge development within the field
- Following developments within the field and making improvement proposals
- Academic working and thinking level
- Technical background, preferably mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or automation
- 5 to 8 years of relevant work experience as an advisor or consultant in technical safety
- Demonstrable knowledge of machine safety, evidenced by certification and/or training
- Experience with Systems Engineering (SE)
- Experience with system-oriented contract management (preferred)
- Experience with safety controls (preferred)
