Project overview

A bank in Frankfurt is bringing AI applications into productive operation and is building a reliable, traceable AI landscape for this purpose. An experienced AI Data Engineer is sought to make models and data architectures production-ready and to support the teams along the way. The project is expected to run until the end of the third quarter of 2027.

• Development of robust AI applications in close coordination with Data Scientists
• Monitoring of model performance to maintain accuracy over time
• Selection of suitable deployment and processing technologies for productive operation
• Design and development of complex data architectures for AI solutions
• Analysis of existing AI applications for bottlenecks and improvement of stability and traceability
• Consultation on the choice of execution environment in the cloud with regard to costs and scaling
• Building continuous workflows for AI models with CI/CD pipelines
• Design of the lifecycle management of AI applications
• Coaching of AI teams and support of classic development teams in machine learning approaches
• Vendor-neutral evaluation of new products and contribution to an overarching AI architecture
• At least 5 years of professional experience
• Extensive experience with TensorFlow and PyTorch
• Solid knowledge of Transformer models and NLP tools such as Hugging Face and SpaCy
• Experience with architecture, integration, and training of machine learning and statistical models, including deployment, evaluation, and transfer learning
• Good experience in backend development with Python
• English at C1 level, fluent in negotiations even in demanding situations
• Willingness to travel to Frankfurt am Main once a month
• 10 years or more of professional experience
• Experience with AI tools on AWS, especially AWS Bedrock
• Experience with MLOps and CI/CD for Machine Learning
• Experience with GANs and GPT-based models
• Experience in coaching teams and presenting to management
