Job description

Project overview

AI Data & Semantic Engineer l London | 2 days in London a week | £580-£600 per day | Outside IR35 | 12-month contract

We're looking for a hands-on AI Data & Semantic Engineer to help a major professional services organisation unlock the value of its enterprise data through AI.

The organisation has an established Microsoft Fabric platform and is accelerating its adoption of Claude Enterprise. You'll build the semantic models and data integrations that enable AI to answer business questions accurately using trusted enterprise data.

Key responsibilities

Essential experience

Desirable: Claude Enterprise, MCP, Fabric data agents or comparable AI-to-data integration technologies.

The opportunity

Validate AI responses against existing Power BI reporting, then scale the capability across approximately 150 additional business questions and further enterprise datasets.

This is a hands-on engineering role focused on building a scalable, production-ready enterprise AI capability-not another standalone proof of concept.

  • Strong hands-on Microsoft Fabric experience, including Lakehouses, Warehouses, pipelines and semantic models.
  • Advanced SQL, dimensional modelling, Power BI and governed business metrics.
