Seeking an AI Engineer specialized in LLMs and their integration into production environments for a project involving complex data from insurance contracts. The role focuses on structuring and exploiting extracted information, potentially using graph databases, to develop intelligent solutions for business needs.
Project overview
As part of the development of AI-based application solutions, our client is looking for an AI Engineer specialized in LLMs and their integration into production environments.
The mission is part of a project aimed at exploiting complex and semi-structured data, particularly from contractual documents in the insurance sector, in order to develop intelligent solutions for concrete business use cases.
One of the challenges is to structure and exploit the information extracted from these documents, notably through data models like graphs, to enable querying and effectively meet user needs.
You will join a multidisciplinary team of 6 people, including a Product Owner, a Tech Lead, Software Engineers, and an AI Engineer.
As an AI Engineer, you will be involved in the entire development cycle of application solutions integrating artificial intelligence models.
Responsibilities
Profile sought
Minimum 2 to 3 years of experience as an AI Engineer, with hands-on experience in developing and deploying AI solutions.
- Design and development of AI solutions: translating business use cases into robust, maintainable, and production-ready technical solutions.
- LLM integration: designing, developing, and optimizing application pipelines based on Large Language Models.
- Semi-structured data extraction: transforming complex, heterogeneous, or irregular textual content into structured data that adheres to strict schemas.
- Hybrid approaches: identifying situations requiring deterministic processing (business rules, heuristics, regular expressions) and those justifying the use of LLMs.
- Evaluation and benchmarking: defining relevant metrics, building automated evaluation frameworks, and measuring solution reliability, even in the absence of perfectly annotated reference data.
- Experimentation and continuous improvement: comparing different approaches, prompts, models, and configurations through rigorous experimental methodology.
- Software development: designing modular, testable, and maintainable Python APIs and components, adhering to software engineering best practices.
- Production deployment: contributing to the industrialization, reliability, and performance improvement of AI applications.
- Excellent command of Python and strong software development skills.
- Significant experience in integrating LLMs into business applications.
- Good command of information extraction and textual data structuring challenges.
- Ability to design pipelines combining traditional processing and generative models.
- Experience in evaluating AI systems, benchmarking, and analyzing non-deterministic results.
- Knowledge of Machine Learning fundamentals and experimentation principles.
- Good understanding of clean code principles, modularity, separation of concerns, and API design.
- Ability to work in a team and transform functional requirements into operational technical solutions.
