AI Platform Architect – Generative AI and LLM

Project overview

For a strategic transformation program, we are looking for experienced Platform Architects with a focus on Artificial Intelligence and Generative AI. As part of a company-wide modernization program, innovative AI platform capabilities and central shared services will be designed, further developed, and integrated into existing IT landscapes.

The main tasks include the conception and further development of modern AI and GenAI platform architectures as well as the architectural design for AI Shared Services such as AI Gateways, Model Hubs, Agent Runtimes, and Vector Stores. You will design platform capabilities for AI Model Management, Agent Execution, and Context Provisioning, and conceive secure, scalable interfaces for Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and AI Agents.

Further responsibilities include the integration of agentic systems, definition of technical architecture standards, conception of AI Observability including tracing and quality monitoring, as well as consideration of Security-by-Design and data protection. You will specify functional and non-functional requirements, evaluate suitable AI technologies, and develop self-service approaches for the efficient provision of AI Services.

At least 8 years of IT architecture experience with proven expertise in AI and GenAI architectures, as well as at least 2 reference projects in the conception or implementation of AI platforms, are required. Profound knowledge of LLMs, RAG, AI Agents, Cloud Architectures (Azure/AWS), Kubernetes, container technologies, and API management, as well as experience with AI Observability and corresponding monitoring solutions, are necessary.
