AI Solutions Engineer – LLM, RAG and Agents

Project overview

IT Sonix develops custom software. To integrate LLMs, RAG systems, and agents into our clients' software products, we want to connect with experienced freelance AI Solutions Engineers. Specific assignments will arise depending on the project and demand. If this field excites you, we look forward to an initial, non-binding exchange.

Possible scopes of service

• Conceptualization and end-to-end implementation of LLM-based applications such as RAG systems, workflows, and agents
• Process automation with n8n or comparable workflow frameworks, including API integrations and clean error handling
• Quality assurance of AI systems through test sets, metrics, monitoring, and guardrails
• Architectural decisions for integrating AI components into existing systems
• Technical consulting in client meetings and workshops, in coordination with our AI Consultants

Requirements

• Several years of experience in backend development, e.g., with Python, TypeScript, Java, or C#
• Confident handling of API design (REST/GraphQL), SQL and NoSQL databases, Git, and automated tests
• Project experience with LLM APIs such as OpenAI or Anthropic, RAG systems, vector databases, context engineering, and structured outputs
• Experience with agent frameworks like LangChain or LangGraph, the Model Context Protocol (MCP), and the evaluation of LLM systems
• Deployment and operational experience in Azure, AWS, or GCP, as well as sound knowledge of Auth/OAuth, Secrets Management, API Security, and Prompt Injection
• Basic ML understanding for weighing fine-tuning, prompting, and RAG, and the ability to present technical solutions understandably to clients
