Shape the automation of modern IT infrastructures!

For our client from the public sector, we are looking for an experienced application developer (m/f/d) who wants to contribute their expertise in software development and process automation.

A versatile technical environment awaits you in the IT Basis and Infrastructure department, Hardware and Data Storage group. This group is responsible for operating the data centers of Bayerischer Rundfunk and provides central IT services – from server and network hardware to storage solutions, cloud services, data backup, and recovery.

Your focus will be on the development, further development, and integration of software solutions for automating administrative processes.

Responsibilities

What you bring:

• Analyze and automate processes: Together with IT Basis and, if necessary, customers, you will analyze and optimize recurring administrative tasks and processes in a DevOps environment.
• Develop software solutions: You will conceptualize and develop predominantly browser-based frontends and associated backends for Windows and Linux platforms using C#, Blazor, and PowerShell.
• Further develop existing applications: You will maintain existing software products based on C#, Angular/TypeScript, Java, and PowerShell.
• Connect systems and databases: You will integrate databases such as MS SQL Server using Entity Framework and .NET SQL Client and connect external systems via REST APIs.
• Implement deployments: You will deploy applications in various target environments, for example, with Docker, Kubernetes, or on virtual machines.
• Use automation technologies: You will support automation processes with GitLab, Terraform, or comparable technologies and integrate the solutions into existing workflows.
• Test cloud connections: You will pilot software-based connections with cloud products such as Microsoft Azure, Amazon S3, or Google Cloud Storage.
• Completed degree in Computer Science, Media Technology, Electrical Engineering, or a comparable field of study
• Several years of professional experience in software development with C# and .NET
• Several years of experience in developing browser-based frontends with Blazor
• Profound, several years of experience in developing and maintaining Angular/TypeScript applications
• Several years of experience in PowerShell development and process automation
• Very good practical experience with MS SQL Server, Entity Framework, and .NET SQL Client, as well as integrating REST APIs
• Knowledge in deployment with Docker, Kubernetes, or virtual machines
• Several years of experience with GitLab, Terraform, or comparable DevOps tools
• Several years of experience in connecting cloud services such as Azure, Amazon S3, or Google Cloud Storage
• Must have: At least 1 year of professional experience in a broadcasting institution (full-service provider) or at least 3 years of professional experience in the media sector, particularly in production and broadcasting environments.
• An ITIL Foundation certification (at least version 3) is desirable
• Very good German language skills at C2 level and good English language skills at B1 level
