Application Engineering Manufacturing Systems MES & SAP PP

Project overview

We are looking for an experienced Application Engineer to optimize and further develop our production planning and execution systems. In this role, you will be the central point of contact for the support, administration, and continuous improvement of Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and SAP PP in a modern S/4HANA environment.

Your responsibilities include requirements analysis and conception of future solutions in close coordination with business departments and international partners. You will be responsible for system configuration, customizing, and output management, taking global standards into account. Furthermore, you will administer and monitor the interface landscape between production systems and technical equipment to ensure smooth data exchange.

Another focus is on qualification, test management, and validation of new processes in compliance with regulatory requirements. You will handle incidents and changes, manage external service providers, and actively participate in cross-site transformation projects.

We expect several years of experience in supporting MES systems such as Siemens Opcenter or SAP ME, as well as sound SAP PP knowledge. Practical experience in adjacent SAP modules (MM, QM, SD, SCM) and logistics systems is advantageous. A completed vocational training or academic qualification in computer science or business informatics is required. Strong communication and teamwork skills, as well as experience in GMP-regulated environments, complete the profile.

The position is limited to 12 months with a flexible work model (3 days mobile, 2 days on-site). Occasional travel is required.
