Project overview
For a long-term IT project in the public sector, we are looking for an experienced Application Support Engineer. The focus is on 3rd-level support as well as monitoring, error analysis, and continuous improvement of a complex business application and its interfaces.
Responsibilities
- Monitoring of microservices, REST interfaces, and other application components
- Support of event consumers/publishers, queues, and asynchronous processing
- Monitoring of data exchange with surrounding systems and middleware components
- Analysis and documentation of technical errors and their effects
- Tracking of incidents until final resolution
- Coordination of troubleshooting with infrastructure, DevOps, and development
- Setup and configuration of monitoring, alerting, and metrics
- Creation of change requests and user stories for improving logging, error handling, and service configuration
- Maintenance of support, operations, and configuration documentation

- At least 5 years of experience in support, operations, or development within a software development project
- Software development or DevOps experience
- Knowledge of Kubernetes and REST-based systems
- Experience with OAuth 2.0, XML, and JSON
- Knowledge of C#, .NET, JavaScript, or Java
- Experience with Grafana and OpenSearch
- Good SQL knowledge
- Knowledge of KNative Eventing
- Knowledge of Windows and Print Server environments
- Experience with PowerShell automation
- Very good analytical and conceptual skills
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
